I step into A New Day.

My power is infinite

I am rooted in purpose.

I call on my feminine to create and celebrate

A new way, a new day, an invitation to transform.

Breathe.

I am grounded.

I honor all that I am - liberated, open, ready

A blank slate - a new way.

A New Day.

🎨

This series is calling on you to celebrate your creativity and stay open to your highest self. Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?

Meggie and Rendi are asking you to step into the exploration of a mashup of dance styles - dancehall, chair dance, floorwerk, and wine technique - set to the sounds of “Dangerous City” by DVSN ft. Buju Banton

The theme is muted, with a focus on cozy and comfort, and the energy of a renaissance. Get ready to cultivate your very own personalized video.

Q: When and where will the videos be filmed?

For local Austin participants, filming will be split up into two to three days with the projected dates being April 10th and 18th, and potentially April 17th, and located at a private residence during daylight hours. You will bring your own chair to perform in front of a set design, and grounding will be astroturf. Due to Austin's unpredictable weather, we will also have a covered *indoor* option for back up, that will still be open to outside air. Your safety is very important to us and everyone working on set with you will be taking proper pre-cautions to sanitize between each shoot, maintain social distance and wear masks.

For participants who are out of city and state, you will need to find a videographer local to you, then we will all set up a filming date where we will be present virtually to support and direct you while you are on set.

Q: Who is leading this Series?

A: This series is led by Sass N Strut Choreographers, Meggie Fig Copeland and Rendi Nutt.

🎨

Q: But how does a VMVS actually work?

A: You will have four consecutive virtual classes on Zoom - once a week, for four consecutive weeks - followed by the filming day of your very own professionally filmed video, then a Virtual Student Showcase, to celebrate all your hard work. This series is taught to an intimate group of no more than 8 people. You will learn choreographed movement created for the camera, receive individual direction on movement, facials, costume, and set design.

Q: My finances are tight right now, do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We’ve partnered with Klarna for flexible payment plans with no interest. Look for this option on the check-out page as a payment option right below the Credit Card option.
